International Yoga Festival at the Kumbh Mela

The world-renowned International Yoga Festival is jointly organized each year by Parmarth Niketan Ashram, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of AYUSH in Rishikesh, India, the yoga capital of the world. Since 1999, Parmarth Niketan has been hosting this world famous event, which has grown to international acclaim and which grows in size year after year. What began as a handful of participants soon grew into the festival that IYF is today, with thousands of people coming from all over the world. In 2018, more than 2000 people from participated from 100 nations around the world!
In celebration of the Kumbh and International Yoga Festival’s 30th year anniversary, join us as we bring the world-renowned to the banks of Sangam!
Yogacharyas, teachers, students and seekers from around the world will join together in this wonderful program celebrating yoga. Offerings will include Ashtanga Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga, as well as many other offerings throughout the week. There will be classes in meditation, mudras, Sanskrit chanting, Indian philosophy and much more.
Further, as this IYF is being held in the midst of the most sacred Kumbh Mela, participants will be inspired in the presence of revered spiritual leaders from India and abroad and have the opportunity to hear their divine spiritual discourses.
