Saraswati River

The Saraswati River is the third river which creates the Sangam at Prayag, merging with the Ganga and Yamuna Rivers, although she cannot be seen with the physical eyes.  Mentioned and praised early on in the ancient Vedas, the Mahabharata, the Puranas and the Smritis as the “best mother, best river, best goddess,” Saraswati is now believed to flow underground from Her source until She merges with Ganga and Yamuna at Prayag.
